Corewell Health offers eligible team members PTO. Our PTO programs are built to recognize and reward you for your commitment to the organization. Using PTO is encouraged, allowing team members time for rest and relaxation, as well as time to handle other personal matters without missing pay.
Michigan Leave Act (MLA)
The Michigan Paid Leave Act (MLA) is legislation that was passed by the State of Michigan. It is intended to compensate eligible team members for protected time away from work for medical or other covered reasons.
Parental Leave
Corewell Health recognizes the personalized experiences of our diverse team members and their families. Paid parental leave for up to 6 weeks for non-birthing parent who is benefits eligible. Payment is received through normal payroll and is considered taxable income.

Compassionate PTO
The Compassionate Paid Time Off (CPTO) Program is a PTO donation program designed to help meet a team member’s emergency need for paid time off when they or a family member experience an extreme, unforeseen medical hardship.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Hardship
In rare situations involving financial hardship, a team member may be allowed to sell additional PTO hours outside of the PTO Sell- Back Program.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Sell Back
Eligible team members can sell back portions of the accrued PTO banks for cash payment. There is a defined irrevocable election period, with payouts occurring after the close of the election period.
