How To Enroll

Benefits enrollment will be in Workday and Everyday Marketplace to elect or waive benefits.

To be considered a benefits-eligible team member, you must be in a regular or temporary status in Workday with a total FTE of 50% or greater.

  • Corewell Health considers a full-time team member to work between 72-80 hours per pay period;
  • A part-time team member works between 40-71 hours per pay period.

Coverage begins on the first of the month following your hire date or date of status change.

Eligible dependents are:

  • Your legally married spouse
  • Children up to age 26, including stepchildren, legally adopted children, and children under your legal court appointed guardianship. Coverage continues until the end of the month in which the dependent reaches the age limit of the plan. Once your child no longer meets the eligibility criteria, coverage will end as of the last day of the month in which the event occurs.
  • Your disabled child of any age, who is unmarried, incapable of self-support and claimed by you as a dependent on your income tax return, provided the disability began before the age limits.

When coverage begins:

When you become eligible, you will have 31 days to enroll in benefits, and your benefits begin on the first of the month following your date of hire or date of status change.

If you do not enroll: If you do not enroll in the Corewell Health benefit program within 31 days of your hire date/status change date, you will automatically be enrolled in the following benefits at no cost to you:

  • Core Life insurance & Core AD&D insurance
  • Core Short-Term Disability
  • Core Long-Term Disability

When coverage ends

Life, AD&D, short-term disability and long-term disability terminate on your last day worked; or the last day you or your dependent(s) no longer meet eligibility requirements.

All other coverage terminates on the last day of the month in which you or your dependent(s) no longer meet eligibility requirements.
